Self-Care Class

Sometimes a business isn't looking for a comprehensive wellness program. With the Body-Mend Self Care class, employees get concentrated information in a short amount of time. This information is highly effective in reducing the most common body pain conditions.

Included in the two hour Self Care class:

  • Professional instruction on the principles of working out pain issues with a foam roll and a therapeutic ball. Foam rolls and therapeutic balls are provided to participants for the duration of the class
  • Detailed demonstration of each of the 20+ techniques.
  • Practice time for participants to build confidence, ensure their understanding of the techniques and make them feel comfortable performing them.

The Self Care class is broken up into two sections covering nearly the whole body.

First Section: Lower Body

Addressing all the major musculoskeletal pain issues from the waist down, this section introduces the basic principles of doing self care and then methodically demonstrates how to work the areas of the body for the following conditions:

  • Plantarfasciitis
  • Knee Pain
  • Hip Pain
  • Sciatic Pain
  • Lower Back Pain
  • General lower body musculoskeletal pain and limited range of movement issues

Second Section: Upper Body

Focusing on the common musculoskeletal pain issues of the body from the waist up, this section goes through techniques that can be very effective for the following conditions:

  • Lower Back Pain
  • Rotator Cuff Pain
  • Golfers Elbow
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Carpal Tunnel
  • Upper Back Pain
  • Headaches
  • Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
  • General upper body musculoskeletal pain and limited range of movement issues

The class is a highly interactive and engaging experience. Once someone learns these techniques and uses them regularly, they can keep themselves out of pain indefinitely.

The Self Care class is the second part of the Pain Management Program and is so powerful, it's an effective wellness program on its own!

"It was a great program! I loved it!!!"
