Jason Lewis, CMT
Jason has been a professional massage therapist for over 15 years. He trained at The International Professional School of Bodywork (IPSB) in San Diego and has worked for chiropractic offices, medical offices, hospice, and spas as well as with personal clients in his private practice. Focusing on chronic pain conditions, he has worked the Pain Relief Program at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) for the past 8 years. He is excited to continue to help people with Body-Mend's Pain Management Program.
A natural teacher, Jason has extensive experience teaching massage techniques. He has taught a comprehensive massage therapy program at United Education Institute, taught students at UCSD for the R&R Squad health outreach program, and created and taught a deep tissue class at the International Professional School of Bodywork. He currently helps teach the Pain Away class at UCSD. In his free time he enjoys playing drums in a band and camping with his wife.
Jennifer Stapanon, CMT
Jennifer has been working in the health care field as a certified massage therapist (CMT) in the state of California for over 10 years. She is certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. She studied massage at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and is certified in the Chinese massage, Tui Na. She is pursuing a Master's Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and plans to become licensed as an acupuncturist in the coming year. Jennifer is also the treasurer of the Pacific Rim Meridian Therapy Society, a society of acupuncturists dedicated to furthering their study of whole-body health.
Originally from a small town in Maryland, Jennifer has adapted to the balmy weather in San Diego and takes advantage of the beaches and hiking available in Southern California. In her spare time she enjoys delving into a good book and spending time with her husband.
